AMY C. MACK, AGE 90, OF VERNDALE DR., MOUNT VERNON, DIED FEBRUARY 17, 2002, IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT OF THE KNOX COMMUNITY HOSPITAL. SHE WAS BORN MARCH 28, 1911, IN MARTINSBURG, THE DAUGHTER OF ORVIE J. AND BLANCHE (MARRIOTT) ROSS AND HAD BEEN A LIFETIME RESIDENT OF KNOX COUNTY. MRS. AMY MACK WAS A GRADUATE OF THE MARTINSBURG HIGH SCHOOL AND WAS AWARDED A B.S. DEGREE FROM THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY IN 1933. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH DISCIPLES OF CHRIST CHURCH, A 40 YEAR MEMBER OF THE UTICA SATURDAY REVIEW CLUB, THE MOUNT VERNON REVIEW CLUB, A MEMBER OF THE SUNSET CLUB OF THE OLD HOMESTEAD CLUB, A LIFE MEMBER OF THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSN., AND A MEMBER OF THE OHIO MEDICAL AUXILIARY AND SERVED THAT ORGANIZATION AS A MEMBER OF THEIR STATE BOARD AND AS 1ST VICE PRESIDENT.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY 2 DAUGHTERS ANN KESTER OF NEWARK AND ANITA (DR. ROBERT) BEATTY OF EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO, A SON DR. PHILIP (ANNA) MACK OF MOUNT VERNON; 7 GRAND-CHILDREN KIMBERLY MACK, P. DENNIS MACK, BRIAN MACK, JENNIFER MACK, KEVIN (MINDY) KESTER, DAN (TISH) BEATTY AND ANALIESE (DENNY) TRAIN, 2 GREAT GRANDSONS, RYAN DELAHANTY AND MACRAY KESTER; A BROTHER WENDELL ROSS OF QUINCY, MICHIGAN. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS AND HER HUSBAND ALEXANDER S. MACK M.D. IN APRIL OF 1969.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FLOWERS-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME ON TUESDAY FROM 5 PM UNTIL 8 PM AND 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE. SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME WEDNESDAY AT 11 AM. HER PASTOR JAMIE GUMP WILL OFFICIATE AND BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN THE MOUNT VERNON MEMORIAL GARDENS.
