Amber Louise Collins

December 09, 1983 ‒ August 05, 2019

Marion, Ohio

Amber Louise Collins a dedicated mother, daughter, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in Atlantic City, NJ after a two year battle with Angiosarcoma. Amber was 35 years old and currently lived in New Bloomington.

Amber was born in Marion, Ohio on December 9, 1983 to Freeman Leroy Smith III and Jennifer Lea Hensley.  Amber attended Harding High School and Tri-Rivers where she studied in the Culinary Arts Program.  During her time at school, Amber enjoyed playing competitive soft ball and was also very artistic. Amber could often be found at the Rollerama with her friends and to this day still had her high school skates.

Amber had a hard working spirit and worked for years at Denny’s in Marion in just about every role; she truly excelled as a hostess and waitress.  She never missed a day of work and would often cover for others.

Amber’s life revolved around her children Kylee and Haden; she always did her best to provide for their needs.  She enjoyed taking them roller skating any chance she had.

Amber loved to travel and would visit Atlantic City and Las Vegas any chance she had.  Her fun loving spirit led to many trips to the beach where she could be found lying in the sand.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Kylee and Haden Collins of New Bloomington; mother, Jennifer (Dan) Moore of Prospect; sister, Nicole (Patrick) Dawson and their son, Josiah of Marion; Jason Collins, father of her children; special friend; Brian Albright and his children, Brysan, Blaze, and Braylend; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amber was preceded in death by her father, Freeman.

Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel (347 West Center St., Marion) on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 4 until 7 pm.  A funeral will be held 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Carr officiating.  Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.

In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made in Amber’s honor to Snyder Funeral Homes to help with final expenses.
