BELLVILLE: Allan Joseph Kaminski, 60, of Hines Avenue, Bellville, died Sunday evening March 2, 2008 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following a short illness.

He was born February 10, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to William and Martha E. (Ritter) Kaminski, and was graduated from Lindenhurst High School on Long Island.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Allan served with the 410th Security Police Squadron. He was a member of Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion, and was active with veteran’s organizations and functions throughout the Mansfield area.

A Bellville area resident since 1980, Allan had worked on the production line with Hi-Stat in Lexington more than ten years.

An active golfer and wildlife enthusiast, he had a big heart, always found time for his family, and loved everyone.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law TJ & Carla Kaminski of Urbana, a daughter Trinda Kaminski of Urbana, a son James Kaminski of Middletown, a daughter Dez Skidmore of Middletown; grandchildren Tim Castle, Brianne’ Castle, Johnathon Kaminski, Dominic Kaminski, Blake Kaminski, Makayla Heaberlin, Jazmine Heaberlin, Andrew Kaminski, Zack Skidmore, Kaitlyn Skidmore, Destiny Kaminski and Brittany Kaminski; a great granddaughter Aleena Castle; a brother and sister-in-law Ken & Sherry Kaminski of Clearwater, Fla.; and a neighborhood of dear friends who became extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday at noon. Pastor Tj Waters will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery, where American Legion Post #535 will hold graveside military honors.
