Alice L. Young

LOUDONVILLE: Alice L. Young passed away at age 86 Sunday morning, December 29, 2019, in Colonial Manor surrounded by her family.
She was born March 16, 1933, to parents Raymond & Louisa (Smail) Lint in Holmes, County, Ohio. Alice graduated from Nashville High School with the class of 1951 and worked for a short period of time at the Flxible Company. She married Delmar Young on March 29, 1955, and they spent 46 wonderful years together until he passed away in 2001.
Alice babysat children for many years and had a genuine love for children. For over 30 years in spare time, she took pleasure in cutting pictures and making books with her clippings. She also laminated many things out of old greeting cards, calendars, and much more. Alice always loved to show anyone who stopped by what project she was working on next. She was also a member of the Perrysville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children Deb (Steve) Ayers, Robert (Cherryl) Young, Scott (Cindy) Young, and Vicki (Jim) Gordon; grandchildren Emily (Jon) Jewell, Jennifer (Matt) Stewart, Jesse (Carly) Ayers, David (Becki) Ayers, Austin Young, Morgan Young, Tyler (Beth) Young, Andrew Gordon, and Nick Gordon; great-grandchildren Lucy Ayers, Lorac Young, Jack Jewell, Halle Jewell, Locke Stewart, Brooke Stewart, Landon Stewart, and Madelyn Stewart; her siblings Laura Mae Deane, Cecile Stiner, James Lint, and Richard Lint.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Fred Lint; sisters Patricia Patterson, June and Norma Jean Lint.
Her family would also like to thank McMullen Assisted Living and Colonial Manor for the excellent care they gave to Alice during her time at each place.
The Young family will receive friends Thursday, January 2, 2020, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel with a funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. Pastor Howdie Burnett will officiate and burial will follow in Loudonville Cemetery.
Contributions in Alice’s memory to the Perrysville Baptist Church, Perrysville Firefighters Association or Pathways Hospice may be made at the funeral home.
