Alberta E. Kassor
July 24, 1930 ‒ June 02, 2015
Alberta E. Kassor passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in her Bellville home surrounded by her family. She was 84.
She was born July 24, 1930 to parents Lucas & Mary (Wirick) Rinehart in Johnsville. After Alberta was graduated from Galion High School, she went on to work as a Nurses Aid at Morrow County Hospital and Norwood Hospital in Massachusetts. In spare time, Alberta took pleasure in enjoying the outdoors; the outdoors being the place where she felt truly at peace. She also cherished the color purple, whether it was painting with purple, purple butterflies or anything the color purple. But above all, Alberta was the matriarch of the family and was an exceptional caregiver to her family and all likes of people.
She is survived by sons James Kevin (Linda) Scherer, Edward William Kassor III, and Charles (Kelly) Kassor; daughter-in-law Carolyn Scherer; grandchildren Jason Scherer, Matthew Scherer, and Zachariah A. Kassor; great grandchildren Kaleb, Cody, Dylan, Felicity, Lauren, and Ethan; siblings Gale (Ann) Rinehart, Lloyd Dean (Sandy) Rinehart, Edwin Rinehart, Ronnie O. Rinehart, Judy Wise, and Brenda Campo; significant other David H. Waddell, and caregiver Joni Fryer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Scherer, and her second husband Edward Kassor Jr.; son Michael Lynn Scherer; siblings Lawrence Rinehart and Janet Sue Rinehart.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Nettle Hollow Farm, 5742 Renie Road, Bellville, Ohio 44813.
