Albert F. “Al” Sabo

MANSFIELD: Albert F. “Al” Sabo, 72, of Little Washington, died Saturday morning, July 22, 2006, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a sudden illness.
Al was born August 10, 1933 to Albert Francis and Elizabeth (Dobis) Sabo, was graduated from Cleveland West High School in 1951, and attended The Ohio State University.
A U.S. Army veteran Al served during Korea.
On September 10, 1960 he committed himself in marriage to Patricia Wetzel who survives. The couple relocated to Richland County in 1971 to raise their family.
Al worked for 20th Century Printing before opening his own print shop, Courier Printing Co., where Al has worked the past 22 years.
Outside professional organizations Al enjoyed boating. He loved sailing either up at Lake Erie or on the quiet Clear Fork Reservoir. He also participated in sailboat racing, and had a particular interest in powerboats.
Al enjoyed everyday life, which consisted of time in the print shop, daily walks, and lunches at the Mansfield Restaurant. Most of all, he loved doting, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Patricia Sabo, their three daughters and sons-in-law Jennifer and James Nester of Mansfield, Rebecca and John DeVore of Little Washington, and Allison and Matthew Hartman of Arlington, three grandchildren David DeVore and Elizabeth and Dreama Nester, and a sister and brother-in-law Annette and Charles Guenther.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in Little Washington Congregational Church, 2323 Washington South Road. Pastor David Root will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
