Albert S. Davison, age 75 of Mount Vernon, died Thursday August 19, 2004 at the Laurel’s of Mount Vernon following a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Albert was born April 16, 1929 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Leroy and Helen (Bradley) Davison and had been a resident of the Mount Vernon area for over 20 years. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus with a degree in aeronautical engineering. Albert was retired from North American Rockwell Corporation and had been employed for 10 years as a contract aeronautical engineer. Following his retirement Albert was employed by First Knox National Bank in Mount Vernon. He was a pack leader for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, served as a 2nd Lieutenant of the Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association of Knox County.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon, and of the Scottish Clan “Davidson”.

Surviving are his wife Marcia (Boehm) Davison; sons David (Lilliana) Davison of Kansas City, Mo. Daryl (Dawn) Davison of Danville and Jeffrey Davison; daughters Diane Brobeck and Deborah (Dana) Hiles both of Lancaster and Erin Davison; 11 grandchildren Rebecca (Justin) Kern, Elizabeth Hiles, Joseph Hiles, Kevin Brobeck, Brian Brobeck, Christopher Brobeck, Jennifer Davison, Daryl Davison Jr., Autumn Davis, Ryan Davis and Michael Davison; and his sister Patricia Turpin of Virginia. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Yeack.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral service will be Monday at 10 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon with Pastor Steven Rude and Pastor Peter Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
