Adrina “Dee” Carol Mazur
December 19, 1932 ‒ April 28, 2007
BELLVILLE: Adrina “Dee” Carol Mazur, 74, of South Main Street, Bellville, went to rest on Saturday evening April 28, 2007 in Country Meadow Care Center in the presence of her family.
She was born December 19, 1932 in Cleveland to Stanley and Lillian Hazel (Doering) Walden.
On September 15, 1951 she married Edward Joseph Mazur, with whom she celebrated 55 years of love and commitment.
Gifted with many talents, Dee used them to further herself in various ways over the years. Among her most noteworthy are wife and mother, artist, and accomplished photographer.
A homecoming queen, model, then Mazur family matriarch, Adrina was an adventurous woman, who with her husband Edward, led the Mazur family across the country camping. Later they settled on Jekyll Island, Georgia to finish their working days.
After retirement they volunteered for the National Forest Service, spending sometimes two to three months away from home. Adrina was also a supporter of the National Wildlife Federation.
She and Edward chose Bellville for their retirement community, a quiet village nestled between her children’s homes. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Dee shared the last of her days with her beloved Edward at County Meadow.
Always a presence to be reckoned with, she will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her adoring husband Edward J. Mazur, a daughter Laura Lynn Mazur of Kent, two sons and a daughter-in-law Alan E. and Mary Ann Mazur of Dublin and Glen J. Mazur of Bridgewater, Tasmania (Australia), four grandchildren Griffin A. Mazur and Emily Mazur of Dublin and Ryan E. Mazur and Brandon Mazur of Australia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Adrina “Dee” Carol Mazur will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2 pm in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 48 Bell Street, Bellville. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 1 pm until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg at a later date.
