Adrian Haslehurst, age 61, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the James Cancer Hospital of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  He was born on January 17, 1958 in St. Petersburg, Florida, the son of Richard and Bernice (Blagg) Haslehurst.  Adrian was a 1976 graduate of East Knox High School.  He previously worked as a truck driver for Keystone Freight before retiring from Showa Corporation in Sunbury.

Adrian was a motorcycle enthusiast as he loved taking his Harley-Davidson for a local ride and even took many trips across the United States with his family and friends.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.  Adrian collected antique tractors and was a member of the Kokosing Valley Antique Tractor Club. Most important, he was a loving and caring father and friend that never met a stranger.

He is survived by the mother of his children and best friend, Janet (Vannatta) Haslehurst, his daughters, Amanda Haslehurst and Emily (Fiance Ken Smith) Haslehurst both of Mount Vernon, a brother, Martin (Susan) Haslehurst of Danville, a sister, Belinda Byrd of Mount Vernon, many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly (Bob) Riggs of Florida, Lori Vannatta of Mount Vernon and David (Charlotte) Vannatta of Mount Vernon and his canine companion Yippy.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Haslehurst, brother-in-law, Earl Byrd and father and mother-in-law, Nelson and Hazel Vannatta.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a Celebration of Life service will begin at 8 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.

Memorial contributions in Adrian’s name may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church or American Cancer Society.
