Ada V. DeLay, age 93 of Sunbury passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Country View of Sunbury.

Born in Columbus on March 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ida (Tippton) Snyder.

A Sunbury resident since 1970, she had worked as a riveter for North American Rockwell for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing solitaire and eating hot wings at Roasters followed by a cold beer. Feisty with a sense of humor, she was often outspoken. A horse race fan, she treasured time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter: Pat (Mike) Lynn of Sunbury with who she had resided, daughter-in-law: Barbara DeLay, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son: Harry DeLay Jr., 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury. Graveside services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Trenton Cemetery.
