Shawn M. Rausch, 49, of Galion passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus after a long battle with Diabetes.

He was born April 6, 1967 in Crestline and was the son of William G. “Mike” and Carole J. (Huebner) Rausch.

Shawn was a 1985 graduate of Galion High School and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Galion. He worked for Cedar Point for nine years as an admissions supervisor and later for three years on the railroad at Cedar Point. Shawn also worked at JEGS High Performance in Delaware as a salesman and customer service technician. At JEGS, he was the top sales person for four consecutive years. He was a member of the Custom Car Club in Bucyrus and collected Cedar Point memorabilia, antique cars and enjoyed lanscaping.

He is survived by his mom Carole Rausch of Galion; sister Sherie (Matt) Dull of Galion; niece Chelsee McCoy; nephew Travis Dull; great niece Addison McCoy and his special friend, his golden retriever Sage.

Shawn is preceded in death by his father Mike Rausch.

At his request, no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
