Peggy Sue Spangler
June 30, 1946 ‒ September 10, 2005
Peggy “Sue” Spangler, age 59, of Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, September 10, 2005 at the Bennington Glen Nursing Home.
She was born on June 30, 1946 in Martin, Kentucky the daughter of the late Sidney B. and Opal (Osborne) Marshall.
While she spent most of her time was spent as a homemaker, she also worked at Ranco in Delaware.
Sue was a member of AMVETS in Mount Gilead. She loved music, singing and dancing. She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking and her home was always spic and span.
She is survived by her son Perry Spangler III of Sunbury, three daughters; Debbie (Tom) West of Marengo, Ohio, Angela Saunders of Linden, TN, Dawn Spangler of Marengo, an adopted daughter Julie Cole of Marengo, five brothers; Jimmy (Billie) Marshall of Somerset, MI, Carlos (Lisa) Marshall of Saline, MI, Harlos Marshall of Langley, KY, Clyde Douglas (Linda) Marshall of Lexington, KY, and Bobby (Jean) McGuffey of Lafayette, TN, three sisters; Ada (Tom) Weaver of Cement City, MI, Cendia Hall of Langley, KY, and Rebecca (Frank) Hall of Martin, KY, and seven grandchildren; Emma, Alfred, Megan, Naomi, Teresa, Britany, and Kyle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Fred K. and Sidney Marshall and a sister Corrine Tabor.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 73 West Walnut St. (SR229), Marengo with Pastor Joe Blevins officiating. No Calling hours will be observed and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
