Marcia M. Wheelen

Marcia Marie Wheelen, age 69 of Marengo passed away Thursday morning, September 15, 2005 at Morrow Manor in Chesterville.
She was born on June 15, 1936 in Columbus to the late Charles C. and Gladys M. (Rhodes) McCarty. Graduate of Bexley High School Class of 1954 and from The Ohio State University School Of Nursing with Honors. A clinical teacher of nursing at Columbus State, she retired from nursing with the Morrow County Health Dept.
A member of Marengo United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, MOPS, University Women’s Club, and Sigma Theta Tau Int. Honor Society of Nursing. She collected over 400 dolls, enjoyed reading and unusual crafts, but nursing was her life.
Survived by husband of almost 50 years: Troy, Daughters: Pandora S. (Richard) Logsdon of Dayton, Diana M. Wheelen of US Peace Corp in Ukraine, Mary A. (Paul) Thompson of Fayetteville, NC, 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren, Sister Carolyn S. May of Columbus and Brother Charles McCarty of Fresno, CA.
Friends may call Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the Marengo United Methodist Church where the service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev Beverly Hall officiating, interment in Butter Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.
