Edward F. Humbert

Edward F. Humbert, age 69, of Newcastle Road, Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
He was born on March 23, 1939 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Robert B. “Red” and Ina (Hoagland) Humbert. Edward was employed as a forklift operator for Coopers here in Mount Vernon from which he retired. He was an Eagle Scout and was a Boy Scout Leader for numerous years. He enjoyed having friends and family at his home for campouts in his back yard along the Kokosing River.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Glen) Goodwin of Mount Vernon; a grandson Jay Goodwin; a brother Joseph (Barbara Brasseur) Humbert of Mount Vernon and a sister Virginia (Ronald) Linson of Mount Vernon. Besides his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a sister Becky Jones and a very special aunt Elenore Durbin.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home from 5 – 8 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 AM with Rev. Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
