Tammy L. Kanarr, age 45, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 27, 1964 in Plainfield, New Jersey, daughter of Eleanor (Hartman) Kanarr McSherry of Knoxville, TN and the late Stanley Kanarr.
Tammy was an accomplished artist and enjoyed making jewelry in her spare time. She was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to her mother, Tammy is survived by her daughter, Cheyenne Proper of Mount Vernon; sisters, Kathleen Stringer of Mount Vernon and Molli Bradley of Maryville, TN; and nephews and nieces,
Thom Longino, Lea Stringer Brown, Jolene Stringer, Bill Stringer, Crystal Clevenger and Danielle Clevenger.
In addition to her father, Tammy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jasmine Rose Proper.
In following with Tammy’s wish, she will be cremated and the family will have a private committal service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the American Cancer Society, Central Region – Knox, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215 or the Knox County Humane Society, 400 Columbus Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
