Barbara “Carole” Hall, age 69 of Mt.Vernon died Monday morning, May 3, 2010 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
She was born on March 12, 1941 in Delaware to the late W. Stanley and Mildred (Thrall) Grove. A graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1959, she was employed as an assembler with Mettler Toledo, where she had worked for over 36 years. As one who loved the outdoors, she enjoyed gardening, as well as collecting tea pots and penguins.
A member of United Baptist Church, she was happiest being surrounded by her family, especially her granddaughter whom she considered her pride and joy. Determined and old fashioned in her ways, she loved to laugh and always looked for humor in life. Both loving and caring, she was described as wonderful. She will be remembered for her laughter and love of family.
Survived by Daughters: Margaret (Tim) Blubaugh and Judy Hall of Mt. Vernon, Granddaughter: Summer, Sister: Bonnie (Dale) Price of Sunbury, nieces, nephews, extended members of the Hall family and dear canine companion Nellie.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years: Otto in 2007 brother: Jerry Grove in 1964, Niece Teresa Price, Nephews Mike and Jimmy Price, and several members of the Hall family.
Friends may call Thursday 4-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be Friday 10:30 a.m., with Rev. S.T. Adkins and James Wilson officiating, burial will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery.
