MANSFIELD - Anthony R. “Tony” Whitmoyer passed away Saturday evening October 31, 2009 in The Good Shepherd Home of Ashland. He was 42.
Born June 30, 1967 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Tony had worked in pool maintenance in Florida and dearly loved to be around people – living life to its fullest.
He was a gifted artist who appreciated aesthetic works in so many mediums, as well as music…though rock music was his favorite.
Tony will be remembered for his deep love for family and his circle of friends, and for the Lord, who brought him through life’s valleys.
Surviving are his mother Wilma R. (Schorman) Horrocks of South Point; his step father John Horrocks of Columbus; his brother and sister-in-law Raymond J., Jr. and Renae Whitmoyer of Columbus; his sister and brother-in-law Angela & Mark Prince of Lucas; four nephews, two nieces, a great nephew and a great niece.
Tony was preceded in death by grandparents Raymond & Reba Schorman, Mary Horrocks and Jake & Peg Whitmoyer.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue (Former Finefrock Funeral Home), where the service celebrating his life will follow at noon. Pastor Curtis Booth will officiate.
