Gertrude B. Aisel, age 88 of Centerburg, died Tuesday evening November 20. 2007 surrounded by her family at Riverside Hospital.
She was born on December 9, 1918 in Blaine, Ky. to the late Charles and Mary (Taylor) Berry. She has lived in the Centerburg area for the past 12 years coming back to Ohio from Florida. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Columbus.
Gertrude enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, needlepoint and crocheting. Her family was most important to her and she loved to spend time with her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: Ted (Linda) Aisel of Sunbury; grandchildren: Jeff (Denise) Aisel, Jodi (Jeff) McDougal; great grandchildren: Jillian McDougal and J. J. Aisel; sister: Mary Boice of Phoenix, AZ.
Preceded in death by her Husband: Glenn Robert Aisel on September 5, 1989; 1 brother and 7 sisters.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where service will be Saturday 10 a.m. with Pastor Roger Crego officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
