Bernice Adkins, age 29, of Fredericktown, died Tuesday October 10, 2006 in Mount Vernon. Bernice was born September 11, 1977 in Shelby, Ohio and was a 1995 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. While in High School Bernice was a member of the Mount Vernon Flag Corps. She had been an employee of Ruby Tuesday’s Restaurant in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather Cheryl and Larry Schunke of Fredericktown; her son Jesse Allen Adkins of Fredericktown; her maternal grandmother Maryann Allamon of Shelby; her brother Donald Adkins of Mount Vernon and her three sisters Elizabeth Adkins of Miami Lakes, Florida, Sarah Adkins of Columbus and Melissa Myers of Fredericktown.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where funeral services will be Monday at 10 AM with Pastor Richard Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Memorial contributions, for the education of her son, can be made to the family through the funeral home.
