Jane Ellen Abraham, 68, of State Route 95, Chesterville, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and join her husband on Saturday evening, December 10, 2005 in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

She was born on March 15, 1937, the daughter of the late John and Stella Booth. She had been a resident of Morrow County since 1959. Jane was a house parent for the Parson’s Children’s Home, and had worked for Morrow Manor and Nickerson Farms. She was also a member of Christ the King Community Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Jane was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Jane will be remembered for her giving nature, always willing to help others in the community. She volunteered for the Marengo Emergency Squad, and many other outreach programs.

She is survived by three sons Mike (Suzette) Abraham of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Tim (Athena) Abraham of Cardington, Ohio, and Steven (Pam) Abraham of Marengo, Ohio; three daughters Liz (Jim) Meads of Delaware, Ohio, Lisa (Ernie) Sheline, Lori (John) Smith all of Mount Gilead, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six brothers John, Tommy, Richard, David, Roger and Larry; six sisters Pat, Jean, Joan, Sandra, Sue and Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband of almost 45 years, Fred Junior Abraham, whom she married September 16, 1955, preceded her in death on April 4, 2000. A brother Jim and two sisters Marlene and Mikie also preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Craven Funeral Home in Mount Gilead on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Pastor Lucian G. Baker and Tommy Booth will conduct funeral services on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Christ the King Community Church near Fredericktown. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville. Memorial contributions to the Christ the King Community Church, 15595 McClelland Road, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019.
