Hester L. (Adkins) Addison, age 57 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning March 22, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born in Marengo on July 18, 1947 to the late Emmett Sr. and Ina (Phelps) Adkins. She was a 1965 graduate of Highland High School and a member of New Carlisle Freewill Baptist Church.

Hester was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was very dedicated to her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, traveling to Amish Country, the orchard and mushroom hunting.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years: Richard W. Addison and they were married September 27, 1968. Children: Rich (Lisa) of New Carlisle, : Christine (Nicholas) Roemer of Lebanon, Cynthia Addison of New Carlisle and Mark Addison and friend Mandy Ferrell of Troy. Her two adored Grandchildren Jakob Addison and Zachary Roemer. 7 Sisters: Ruth Pukansky, Betty Stephens, Dorothy Coleman, Eloise (Chuck) Freeman, Laura (Floyd) Mailey, Joyce (Dick) Wertz all of Marengo, Mary (Jerry) Fouts of Delaware. 8 Brothers: Emmett Jr., Eugene (Janet), Enoch (Linda), Ernie (Kim), James (Sharon) all of Marengo, Franklin (Rose), Ellet (Betty) both of Cardington, Joney (Cindy) of Chesterville; Uncle Fred Phelps of Mt. Gilead. In-Laws: Warren and Virginia Addison of Fredericksburg, Va. and many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brad Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice of Dayton and Kettering Medical Center for their dedication, love and support.
