Marianne L. Abraham, 85, of Baker Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004 in the Morrow County Hospital ECF.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 3, 1919, the daughter of the late Benjamin P. and Cecelia B. (Gebauer) Ruehle. She moved to this area from Dearborn in 1945. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother who was dedicated to her family. She was a member of Chester Baptist Church and Seniors on Center.
She is survived by five sons Norman (Ruth) Abraham of Marion, Ohio, Edward Abraham of Centerburg, Ohio, David (Shirley) Abraham of Marion, Ohio, Howard (Barbara) Abraham of Ocala, Florida, and Jerry (Laura) Abraham of Mount Gilead, Ohio; eight daughters Connie (Bob) Jones of Chesterville, Ohio, Margaret (Ira) Price of Fredericktown, Ohio, Mary Jane (Prentice) Hanners of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Kathleen Grooms of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Betty (David) Forrest of Ocala, Florida, Nancy (Tom) Rensch of Edison, Ohio, Barbara (David) Van Sickle of Mount Gilead, Ohio, and Joyce (Gary) Gollihugh of Sunbury, Ohio; a daughter-in-law Jane Abraham of Chesterville, Ohio; 42 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and three sisters Delores McCracken of Owasso, OK, Celine Allison of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Florence Krawczyk of Ocala, Florida.
Her husband Fred N. Abraham, whom she married March 12, 1938, preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1980. A son Fred “Junior” Abraham, a daughter Marie Abraham and a brother Richard Ruehle also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Braun will conduct funeral services there Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Mount Gilead Emergency Squad. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
