Pam Bussey, age 50, of Delaware and formerly of Cardington, died Sunday afternoon, August 5, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family following over a year long battle with cancer.
On February 27, 1962, Pam was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of the late Harold Farley and Arlene (Priest) Watson. As a family, they moved to Columbus, when she was only four years old, which is where she was raised.
In 1982, Pam moved to the Cardington area, and she worked with D.M.I. in Delaware, helping with their bottle shipping company. Then, for the past nine years, Pam has worked for Cardington Yutaka Technologies, until she was no longer able due to her health. A dedicated and hard worker, she always took great pride in her work. She always went above and beyond what was asked of her, and she was very much appreciated by her superiors.
An animal lover, Pam cherished her four cats who were more than just pets to her. She also loved making arts and crafts, such as wood carvings, paintings, and knittings.
With a love for the outdoors, Pam enjoyed most anything “outdoorsy”, such as camping, fishing and going to races.
A “spunky” and at times “feisty” lady, Pam was a quiet and kept to herself until you got to know her. She especially loved her grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent with them.
She will be dearly missed by her two children: Lora (Randy Bartram) Blake, and Joey Gochenour, both of Cardington; six grandchildren: Kyla, Makenzie, Junior, Brock, Jordan and Cameron; an “adopted” son, Corey Boring of Westerville; her sister, Vicki (Gary) Counts of Mount Gilead; several nieces and nephews; and by her companion, Dave Sheets of Delaware;
Including her parents, Pam was preceded in death by a special friend, Frank Boring.
A time of celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012, from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Delaware State Park, Buckeye Grove Picnic Shelter, 5202 U.S. 23 N., Delaware. It will be a pot luck of sorts, so everyone is encouraged to bring your appetite and a dish.
Memorial contributions may be made in care of Pam’s family to assist with unexpected expenses, and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead is honored to have been chosen to serve Pam’s family and your private condolences may be expressed to them online by visiting www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
