BELLVILLE: At every party there are two kinds of people - those who want to go home and those who don't. Carol S. Lendon, was the later. She brought life to any party and put the social in Social Butterfly.
The social butterfly has metamorphosed an earned her beautiful wings as Carol passed from this life to her eternal home Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was 71.
She was born August 19, 1940 in Ft. Gay, West Virginia the daughter of Calvin C. and Cordellia (Blevins) Damron.
A wonderful wife and mother, Carol enjoyed cooking, canning and caring for her family.
A lifelong area resident, she was a member of Bellville Freewill Baptist Church.
Fun-loving and kind-hearted, Carol was always the life of the party, even bringing liveliness to her friends at the nursing home.
She is survived by her children Timothy (Laurie) Damron of Delaware, Belinda Crawford and her fiancé David Pratt of Crestline, and Sondra (Mike) Egler of Columbus; six grandchildren Lindsay Damron, Kelsey Damron, Kylee Arter, Kendra Miller, Ryan (Savanna) Quaintance, and Erin (Jarod) Conley; two great grandchildren Chase Conley and Rilynn Quaintance; two sisters Wanda Pratt of Mt. Gilead and Norma Shrader of Bellville, her first husband Arley Crawford of Galion, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband Tom Lendon, and five siblings Garland Damron, Gladys Wilson, Margaret Parsons, Delphia Damron, Calvin Damron, Jr., and Ruby Fagert.
Friends may call Monday, August 6, 2012 from 1-3 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 3pm. Pastor Bruce Copley will officiate and burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
